Seven working groups of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) submitted the first edition of the IndiaAI report.
What is IndiaAI?
- IndiaAI: National AI Portal of India.
- Launched: 2020
- Launched by: Joint initiative by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), NASSCOM, and National e-Governance Division.
- Features:
- The portal acts as a hub for cooperation, research, and knowledge on artificial intelligence.
- It provides information, news, and articles regarding AI as well as insights into the AI landscapes in India and throughout the world.
- For professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, and students interested in AI, it also provides resources and career guidance.
- IndiaAI Centres of Excellence (CoEs): Performing fundamental research and facilitating collaborations between industry, academia, and government are only a few of its possible functions.
- India Dataset Platform (IDP): Create the technological architecture and provide roles, duties, and other details for the data-sharing platform. To support data providers from different ministries and agencies, IDP is being developed as a federal framework.
- Institutional Capacity and Design of National Data Management Office (NDMO): Make the NDMO an independent, non-statutory organization. Within every ministry or department, create a data management unit.
- IndiaAI Future Design: Provide capital to AI startups that show promise; allow CoEs to provide access to cutting-edge AI infrastructure; and so on.
- IndiaAI Future Skills:
- Provide a comprehensive AI curriculum that addresses the foundations of statistics, math, and AI.
- scholarships and fellowships for research to strengthen tier 2-3–4 institutions' capacity for research.
- IndiaAI Future Labs Compute: Establish five locations with top-notch AI compute infrastructure that can handle three thousand AI Petaflops each.
- Semicon IndiaAI Chipsets: The SemiconIndia future Design Linked Incentive Scheme may provide help for the design of AI chipsets that could be relevant for High-Performance Computing.
Global India AI Summit
- Organized by: Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
- Purpose: The summit will cover a wide range of artificial intelligence (AI)-related issues, including next-generation learning, AI applications in the fields of healthcare, governance, and electric cars, as well as potential future research areas, AI computing, investment prospects, and the cultivation of AI talent.
