Cube-BHISHM mobile hospitals have been deployed in Ayodhya ahead of the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony.
What is Cube-BHISHM?
BHISHMA stands for ‘Bharat Health Initiative for Sahyog Hita and Maitri’.
It consists of a set of "mini-cubes" designed for easy airlifting and deployment on any terrain.
The portable hospital can handle a range of medical emergencies, including bullet, burn, head, spinal, chest injuries, etc.
It is capable of providing critical medical care to 100 survivors for up to 48 hours
Itincludes a fully equipped operation theater, mini-ICUs, ventilators, blood-testing equipment, an X-ray machine, cooking station, shelter facility, and power generator.
Project BHISHM
Launch Date: Project Bhishma' was launched in February, 2022.
Objective: to enhance medical readiness and response capabilities, ensuring a robust healthcare system for emergency situations.
Mobile Hospitals: Project BHISHM involves the deployment of mobile hospitals known as Arogya Maitri Disaster Management Cube-BHISHM.
Cutting-Edge Technology: These mobile hospitals are equipped with cutting-edge technology like operation theater, mini-ICUs, showcasing innovation in medical infrastructure.
Treatment Capacity: Specifically designed to treat up to 200 casualties, addressing the medical needs of a significant number of individuals during emergencies.
Alignment with Bharat Health Initiative: The initiative aligns with the broader Bharat Health Initiative, emphasizing cooperation (Sahyog), welfare (Hita), and friendship (Maitri) in healthcare practices.
