Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone's flagship facility, Mundra Port, has recently celebrated 25 years of operations.

  1. The largest container ship ever to dock at an Indian port on 23 may docked at Adani Group's Mundra port when the nearly 400-metre-long MSC Anna arrived.
  2. The ship is one metre longer than the previous largest ship – MV MSC Hamburg – which arrived here last July.

  1. Largest Private Port: Mundra Port is India's largest private port and container port.

  2. Location: Situated on the Gulf of Kutch's northern shores, near Mundra in Gujarat's Kutch district.

  3. Cargo Diversity: Mundra Port handles a range of cargo, including containers, dry bulk, break bulk, liquid cargo, and automobiles.

  2. Rail Connectivity: Mundra Port's rail is connected to the national rail network, enabling cargo handling for locations throughout India.

  1. Largest Container Ship: MSC Anna, the largest container ship ever to call at an Indian port, docked at Mundra.
  2. Impressive Dimensions: The vessel measures 399.98 meters in length - comparable to 4 football fields - and can carry up to 19,200 TEUs (20-foot equivalent units).
  3. Deep-Draft Capability: With an arrival draft of 16.3 meters, MSC Anna's berthing is only feasible at Mundra, as no other port in India can accommodate such deep-draft vessels.
