Facts about SAKSHAM

• SAKSHAM functions as a thorough digital learning platform that makes online training and medical education available to all healthcare professionals in the country.
• Developed by National Institute of Health & Family Welfare (NIHFW).
• Objective: To enable inclusive capacity building among health professionals, from those working in tertiary care and corporate hospitals in metropolitan cities to those in rural and remote primary health centres.
• Coverage: Over 200 public health and 100 clinical courses are currently available online through SAKSHAM: LMIS.
• Prospects: A centralised resource repository for training and teaching materials will be created as part of Saksham. It will also serve as a central database for trained healthcare professionals.
